While the weather is not warm enough to go to the beach and lay in the sun, there are many cultural monuments and events that occur during this time of the year.
From the Dubrovnik Winter Festival which is made up of weekly concerts on the Stradum leading up to New Year.
Winter Advent houses throughout Dubrovnik serving local winter dishes such as sausages (kobasice), cooked wine (kuhano vino), local doughnut holes (prikle) and assorted varieties of schnapps (rakije).
The season ice skating rink in the bay of Lapad which is open for adults and children alike. The luna park in the bay of Lapad for children.
And Lastly, many christmas decorations spread across the town which serve as an inviting photo opportunity.
With so much happening in Dubrovnik in the winter, it is no longer just a sun and sand holiday destination! Maybe if you’re lucky it will even snow!
